The Non Resident Florida Firearms Permit

Texas Approved

Thursday, October 23, 2014

The Texas Concealed Gun Permit is one of the toughest to obtain. There are up to 6 hours of class time, a state exam to pass, and the range qualification. It is also one of the most expensive.  After the cost of the course, state fee, range time, and ammo, it will run around $315.00.  The Texas permit is only valid for 4 years and must be renewed with the expense of another class and state fee.  Texas residents do have options: only 3 hours of class time and no state or range exam. The Florida non-resident permit is a 7-year license valid in Texas for under $220.  The only renewal expense is the state fee.
